Linkin Park rumoured to reunite for 2025 tour with Chester Bennington replacement as band starts announcement countdown

A mysterious countdown has appeared on Linkin Park’s website

There are rumors that Linkin Park may reunite for a tour in 2025, and they have identified a possible successor for vocalist Chester Bennington.

Bennington passed away in 2017 at the age of 41. Since that time, the band has refrained from touring, having declared an ‘indefinite hiatus.’

The late and esteemed vocalist of Linkin Park tragically took his own life, having previously been candid about his battles with mental health.

Speculation has been circulating for some time regarding the band’s potential introduction of a new vocalist, with the majority suggesting that the new addition would feature a female voice.

This situation has become more pronounced as the band has initiated a 100-hour countdown for their announcement.

Currently, the band has initiated a livestream on their YouTube channel, which is also accessible on LinkinPark.com, and it is scheduled to conclude in slightly more than a day.

Assuming the position of Bennington within the band would entail a significant responsibility.

In addition to the evident challenge of succeeding the late vocalist, replicating his distinctive vocal range, which played a significant role in the band’s genre-defying achievements, will prove to be quite difficult.

Mike Shinoda, a fellow member of Linkin Park known for his rapping contributions to the band’s music, expressed his enduring sorrow in the aftermath of Bennington’s passing.

He asserted that he had even contemplated abandoning his music career in the aftermath.

He addressed Howard Stern, stating, “It simply felt overwhelming for me. Returning to music and attempting to create some form of it while also being perceived in light of past events… it resembled being part of a club I had no desire to join.”

The band released a song ‘Lost’ last year that featured the voice of Bennington.

Speaking about this song, Shinoda went on to tell Stern: “It’s like an old photo. It can be bittersweet but to have forgotten that it existed and then to hear it and be teleported back there, that’s a gift.”

In previous discussions regarding speculation about a potential reunion, Shinoda conveyed to Revolver Magazine: “Rumors are a constant presence. Individuals frequently inquire about the band’s future, and the most accurate response I can provide is that we will share information when there is something to announce.”

“When there’s an announcement to be made, it will be on LinkinPark.com. If you’re hearing it from somebody else, you can trust that information as much as you want to trust it.”

As we continue to await with anticipation, the announcement is being hinted at on LinkinPark.com.

While some fans may consider it unusual to witness Linkin Park without Bennington, if the band believes this decision is appropriate, fans are likely to support them wholeheartedly and react passionately.
