Olympics viewers have same complaint after Tom Cruise performs Mission: Impossible-style stunt at closing ceremony

Tom Cruise made quite the entrance at the closing ceremony

Tom Cruise pulled off an amazing stunt like something out of Mission Impossible during the Olympics closing ceremony on Sunday, but it looks like everyone watching had the same issue.

It’s all finished now! After 16 days filled with exciting sports events, the 2024 Paris Games are officially over.

Wow, what an incredible 16 days it has been, right?

There has been a lot going on, from the arguments about the opening ceremony and issues with the Olympic Village to the debates over who can box based on gender and a pole-vaulter’s unfortunate situation that messed up his chances for a medal. It’s been quite a busy time!

Cruise made a big splash when he jumped off the roof of the stadium in Paris.

The whole event was a special ceremony to officially pass the Olympic Games to Los Angeles, which will be the host city for the 2028 Olympics.

The Hollywood star rappelled down from the roof of the Stade de France and landed on the field, where he received the Olympic flag from Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Team USA gymnast Simone Biles.

A video that was recorded earlier was shown to everyone in the stadium and to the millions of people watching from their homes, showing Cruise traveling from Paris to Los Angeles.

The video showed a 62-year-old person flying across the Atlantic Ocean, then jumping out of a plane to skydive and proudly raising the famous Olympic flag on the Hollywood sign.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers from California provided the music for the pre-recorded video.

The video was filmed back in March, with many people spotting Cruise at the time.

People in the area thought it was for a commercial, but actually, it was for filming one of the largest sports events in the world.

Even though it was a really cool stunt like something from Mission Impossible, it seems that all the Olympic viewers had the same issue with it.

Someone posted on Instagram: “Are there any celebrities in France? It looks like it’s all about the Americans.”

Another person chimed in, “I really hope the LA Olympics aren’t as cringy as that music they just played!”

While a third remarked: “Very um… American.”

However, others enjoyed the moment with one viewer writing: “Wow what a entry.”

Another claimed: “Best part of this Paris Olympics.”

Honestly, it wasn’t shocking to see Cruise at the closing ceremony since he had been seen in Paris several times over the past two weeks.

Earlier this week, the famed actor said: “It’s awesome.

“Great stories, great athletes.

“It’s incredible what they have to do, the sense of accomplishment.”

The Top Gun star even took a moment to share a selfie at the Stade de France. penning: “Thank you, Paris! Now off to LA.”
