Imane Khelif Shows World What She Looks Like Out Of The Ring In Stunning Pics

Imane Khelif has captivated audiences worldwide with her breathtaking new photos taken outside the ring, recently shared on social media.

A video posted on the athlete’s social media account has left her followers in shock.

The 25-year-old competitor triumphed over Yanh Liu in their welterweight match at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics. After securing her victory, Khelif was hoisted onto her trainer’s shoulders and paraded around the arena in a celebratory display.

The Algerian athlete has been at the center of significant controversy following her failure to pass an undisclosed gender eligibility test conducted by the International Boxing Association in 2023.

A debate arose following Khelif’s swift victory over Italian boxer Angela Carini, which lasted only 46 seconds. Carini asserted that Khelif’s punches were excessively painful; however, she subsequently expressed regret for not shaking her opponent’s hand and for the ensuing negative attention.

The Olympic committee then made a statement backing up both fighters:

“Every person has the right to practise sport without discrimination.
“All athletes participating in the boxing tournament of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 comply with the competition’s eligibility and entry regulations, as well as all applicable medical regulations set by the Paris 2024 Boxing Unit (PBU) (please find all applicable rules here). Similar to past Olympic boxing events, the classification of athletes by gender and age is determined by the information on their passports.

The aforementioned regulations were in effect throughout the qualification phase, which encompassed the boxing competitions at the 2023 European Games, Asian Games, Pan American Games, and Pacific Games, as well as the ad hoc African qualifying tournament in Dakar (SEN) in 2023. Additionally, two world qualifying tournaments took place in Busto Arsizio (ITA) and Bangkok (THA) in 2024. These events collectively saw participation from 1,471 boxers representing 172 National Olympic Committees (NOCs), the Boxing Refugee Team, and Individual Neutral Athletes, with more than 2,000 qualification matches conducted.

The PBU established its regulations for Paris 2024 by using the Tokyo 2020 boxing rules as a foundation. This approach aimed to reduce the disruption to athletes’ training and ensure uniformity across Olympic Games. The rules from Tokyo 2020 were derived from the regulations implemented after the Rio 2016 Games, prior to the IOC’s suspension of the boxing International Federation in 2019 and its eventual withdrawal of recognition in 2023.

Recent reports have circulated misleading information regarding two female athletes set to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. These athletes have a long history of participation in international boxing events within the women’s category, including their involvement in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the International Boxing Association (IBA) World Championships, and various IBA-sanctioned tournaments.

The IBA made a sudden and arbitrary decision that affected these two athletes. Near the conclusion of the 2023 IBA World Championships, they faced disqualification without any proper procedural safeguards.

The minutes from the IBA, which can be accessed on their website, indicate that the decision was first made exclusively by the IBA Secretary General and CEO. The IBA Board later ratified this decision and subsequently called for the development of a procedure to be outlined in the IBA Regulations for similar situations in the future. Additionally, the minutes state that the IBA should “create a definitive procedure regarding gender testing.”

The ongoing hostility directed towards these two athletes stems solely from this capricious decision, made without following appropriate protocols, particularly given that these athletes have been participating in elite competitions for numerous years.

“Such an approach is contrary to good governance.
The criteria for eligibility must remain consistent throughout the duration of the competition, and any modifications to the rules should adhere to established procedures and be grounded in scientific research.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is dedicated to safeguarding the human rights of all athletes involved in the Olympic Games, in accordance with the Olympic Charter, the IOC Code of Ethics, and the IOC Strategic Framework on Human Rights. The IOC expresses its sorrow regarding the mistreatment that the two athletes are presently enduring.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) revoked the International Boxing Association’s (IBA) recognition in 2023, a decision that followed the IBA’s suspension in 2019. This withdrawal was subsequently upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). Refer to the IOC’s statement issued after the ruling for further details.

The International Olympic Committee has emphasized the necessity for National Boxing Federations to come to an agreement on a new International Federation for boxing to be part of the sports program at the LA28 Olympic Games.

Khelif, who was born and raised a woman, made the following statement after her victory:

I possess all the necessary qualifications. I am a woman, just like any other. I was born a woman, I have lived my life as a woman, and I have competed as a woman—there is no question about it.

“There are enemies of success of course. That gives my success a special taste because of these attacks.”

I wish to convey to everyone the importance of adhering to the Olympic principles and to discourage any form of bullying.

The essence of the Olympics conveys a powerful message. It is my sincere hope that bullying comes to an end. We participate in the Olympics to showcase our abilities as athletes, not only for ourselves but also for our families. I trust that we will not witness any similar incidents in the future.

After her win, Khelif made the decision to start a legal battle against all of the online hate and harassment she received. Her lawyer, Nabil Boudi shared a press release on 10 August:

“The boxer Imane Khelif has decided to begin a new fight, a fight for justice, dignity and honour”.

The inquiry will seek to identify the individuals responsible for this misogynistic, racist, and sexist campaign, while also addressing those who contributed to the online harassment.

She has named two huge celeb names in her lawsuit, according to Boudi. Both J.K Rowling and Elon Musk were specifically mentioned.

Boudi informed Variety that “the lawsuit includes J.K. Rowling and Elon Musk, among others. Although Trump is not specifically named in our lawsuit, his tweets will certainly be examined as part of the prosecution.”

Boudi added that he hopes the ‘prosecution investigates not only these people but whoever it feels necessary,’.

Khelif has spoken out after mentioning both Musk and Rowling in the lawsuit. Speaking to news channel El Bilad, the 25-year-old said:

However, shortly thereafter, there was significant outcry from prominent politicians globally, athletes from various nations, and even celebrities and artists, including figures like Elon Musk and Trump. This situation had a profound impact on me.

“I am not lying to you, it affected me. It affected me a lot, hurt me a lot. I can’t describe to you the amount of fear I had.

The situation was quite frightening. Fortunately, everyone in Algeria and the Arab world recognized Imane Khelif for her grace, bravery, and determination.

I prefer to keep sports and politics separate, but it seems that politics has intruded into the realm of sports. These two areas should remain distinct. The politicians who are imposing their views on me do not have the authority to define my identity as a transgender individual.
