Simone Biles Slams Haters Who Criticized Her Hair During Olympics

Simone Biles is standing up to critics who slammed her hair while she was competing at the Paris Summer Olympics 2024.
Biles is considered one of the best gymnasts in history, recognized for her exceptional athletic talents, pioneering accomplishments, and unwavering resilience. She was born on March 14, 1997, in Columbus, Ohio, and has transformed the sport with her unparalleled skill level, making her a prominent figure in the gymnastics world and beyond.

Biles gained recognition at the 2013 World Championships by clinching the all-around title, marking the start of her reign in the sport. Throughout her career, she has amassed an impressive total of 32 Olympic and World Championship medals, solidifying her status as the most decorated American gymnast ever. Her routines feature a number of exclusive and highly complex maneuvers that are unique to her, such as the “Biles” and “Biles II” on floor exercise, as well as the “Biles” on vault. These elements are so demanding that they have been named after her in the gymnastics Code of Points.

Biles gained attention not only for her athletic abilities but also for her bravery and activism, especially in the area of mental health. In the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she made waves by putting her mental well-being first, stepping back from multiple competitions to concentrate on her health. Her choice ignited a worldwide discussion about the challenges athletes encounter and the significance of mental health treatment, garnering her broad backing and admiration.

Apart from her accomplishments in sports, Biles has actively supported abuse survivors, raising awareness about the misconduct of ex-USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar. She persists in leveraging her influence to demand responsibility and reform in the sport.
Biles goes beyond gymnastics, serving as a beacon of excellence, strength, and resilience, motivating people worldwide. Her influence is not only seen in her medal count, but also in her support for mental health and athletes’ rights, solidifying her role as a game-changing figure on and off the mat.
The world famous gymnast hit back at haters on her Instagram Story.
While recording a video of herself, she wrote in the caption, “Please don’t criticize my hair. I had it styled, but the bus doesn’t have air conditioning and it feels like 90,000 degrees,” along with another picture captioned, “Oh, and it’s a 45-minute ride.”

During her incredible performance at the games, the athlete was targeted on X, previously known as Twitter. A comment was made by one individual.
One X user commented on Sunday, “I’m curious why Simone Biles’ hair is never styled? Like, come on, girl!” They added, “I still love her and wish her all the best!”
One person commented, “Simone Biles’ hair always looks messy, and it frustrates me. Everyone else on the team is well-groomed, while she seems like she just woke up.”
A third said: “I’m confused did Simone biles purposely not do her hair?? Every single gymnast CLEARLY has their hair gel/sprayed down and in a tight beat appearance…. Her bun is literally flopping around with pieces sloppy everywhere. It almost seems… on purpose…???? Wtf”
Supporters of the Olympic athlete retaliated against the negativity, with one individual stating:
“Imagine being the kind of person who watches Simone Biles perform moves that no one else can do, twirl in the air multiple times and land on her two feet…only to comment on her hair! Imagine having that mentality?”
Another individual stood up for the athlete as well.
“If one more person asks why Simone Biles’ hair is messy… she is quite literally flying and flipping in the damn air,”.
