‘Pokémon’ StarRachael Lillis Dead at 46 …After Breast Cancer Battle

Rachael Lillis, who was famous for being the voice of Misty, Jessie, and Jigglypuff in the “Pokémon” series, has passed away, as confirmed by her sister, Laurie Orr.

The experienced performer died quietly in her sleep on Saturday night after fighting breast cancer. Laurie, who posted about it on the GoFundMe set up for her sister’s care, mentioned that she couldn’t be with Rachael when she passed away, but she comforted fans by saying that RL left this world “without pain.”

She mentioned, “Just last week, she began to get worse. We didn’t see this coming, and we are all heartbroken. We hope for some peace as her family deals with this sadness.”

Rachael’s “Pokémon” co-star, Veronica Taylor, who is famous for voicing Ash Ketchum in the well-known cartoon, shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram on Monday to honor the late star.

Veronica expressed a heartfelt message to fans, explaining how their love and encouragement really helped Rachael during her fight against cancer.

She went on to say, “I was really fortunate to have Rachael as a friend. She was always so kind and caring, right up to the very last moment.”

Besides her role in the “Pokémon” series, Rachael was a well-known figure in the anime world. She lent her voice to many characters in different movies and TV shows, such as “Hunter × Hunter: The Last Mission,” “Berserk: The Golden Age Arc,” “Sonic X,” “Animation Runner Kuromi,” and “Guardian of Darkness.”

She was 46 years old.
