Netflix TV Show That’s Better Than Game Of Thrones Dubbed ‘Best Series In History’
Some people are claiming that a Netflix series is even better than Game of Thrones, and they’re calling it the ‘greatest show of all time.’
Game of Thrones is a show that lasted for eight seasons and tells the story of nine powerful families fighting each other to take over the land of Westeros.
Because it was so successful, a spinoff called House of the Dragon was created, and it is now showing its second season.
If you’ve watched both of these shows and are searching for something new to enjoy, there’s a really underrated series that you should definitely take a look at.
The historical drama, inspired by Bernard Cornwell’s ‘The Saxon Stories’ book series, tells the story of Uthred (played by Alexander Dreymon), a nobleman’s son who gets captured and brought up by the Danes.
As he gets older, he will have to choose whether to defend the place he was raised or the people who took care of him like family.
The main cast includes Dreymon, along with David Dawson as King Alfred, Timothy Innes as King Edward, Millie Brady as Aethelflaed, and Ian Hart as Beocca.
Fans of House of the Dragon might recognize some actors, like Ewan Mitchell playing Osferth and Phia Saban as Aelfwynn.
The show has five seasons and a movie. It first aired on BBC Two, and then Netflix became a co-producer starting with the second season.
Starting from season three, the streaming platform would completely take control, and gradually, the historical drama has turned into a surprising success, as noted by Variety.

Even though fans often say that the series is similar to Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon, Stephen Butchard, the screenwriter for The Last Kingdom, believes that the show offers something unique and different.
When the BBC asked about the comparisons, Butchard said, “Even though we’re both aiming for an awesome story with amazing characters, just because there are leather outfits, cloaks, and swords doesn’t mean the worlds are identical – especially since they have dragons.”
