Fans shocked after seeing insane amount the Friends cast still make each year from the series
Friends may have finished 20 years ago, but it still has a big influence to this day
On May 6, 2004, Monica, Chandler, Rachel, Ross, Phoebe, and Joey set their keys down and walked out of Monica’s apartment in New York City. It marked the conclusion of a significant chapter in their lives.
After many years of the super popular sitcom filled with lots of laughs, love stories, and drama, Friends came to an official end.
Even though the show ended more than 20 years ago, the actors from the sitcom are still earning a lot of money from it today.
According to a report from USA Today, the show Friends brings in an incredible $1 billion every year for Warner Bros.
But how does that translate to the cast?

Even though Friends ended twenty years ago, stars like Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer still earn a whopping $20 million every year.
Many fans were surprised by the figure, and one person even wrote on Instagram, “It’s wild that they make that much money each year.”
“I’m responsible for like half of that,” a second joked.
The cast of Friends marked the 20th anniversary of the show in May, but it was a mix of happy and sad feelings because they lost Matthew Perry last year.
Perry sadly passed away in October of last year when he was discovered unresponsive at his home in Los Angeles.
In December, the LA County Medical Examiner’s Office found that Perry passed away due to the immediate effects of ketamine, and they stated that his death was accidental.
The autopsy showed that his death was caused by drowning, heart disease, and the presence of the opioid buprenorphine.
After his sad passing, the cast of Friends came together to share a statement honoring their friend and co-worker.

They wrote: “We are all completely heartbroken over losing Matthew. We were not just co-stars; we were like a family.”
There’s a lot to talk about, but for now, let’s just take some time to feel sad and understand this huge loss.
“In time we will say more, as and when we are able.
Right now, we are thinking about Matty’s family, his friends, and all the people who cared about him all over the world.
Every member shared their own personal message, and Cox said: “I feel so thankful for all the times I spent with you, Matty, and I think about you every single day.”
Working closely with someone like Matthew gives you so many memories that I wish I could tell you about. But for now, let me share one of my favorite moments.
