Bumblebees are a genus of insects belonging to the same family as bees , which share the fundamental role of pollinators with the latter . Thanks to their incessant work that is repeated from year to year, bumblebees help move pollen from flower to flower, allowing the growth and spread of plant species.
Compared to bees or other pollinators, bumblebees also have characteristics that make them particularly funny and cute : their body is covered in thick yellow and black down which makes them appear plump; their flight is noisy and certainly less graceful than that of other insects; furthermore, they are much less aggressive than bees (they can sting repeatedly, but they do so very rarely).
All aspects that inspired the photographic series that we present to you, which portrays these precious creatures resting inside the flowers with their rear covered in pollen . Charming and cute at the same time!
